So excited planning for this cruisetour.  Seven days onboard, then 7 more touring Kenai, Denali, and Fairbanks.  Lots of excursions planned, and sightseeing this frontier and glaciers while we still can!

We are doing the 14 day Tahitian Princess r/t out of Vancouver on August 21st.  It will be interesting to hear of your experiences if you are willing to post them here.

Are you staying in Vancouver before the cruise and if so, what hotel are you staying in?  We are arriving in Vancouver a couple of days before we sail and are in the process of finding a good, but inexpensive hotel if that's possible.

Hi,
Yes, we are going in two days early to spend a bit of time in Vancouver pre-cruise.  Our TA, who lives in Vancouver, recommends LeSoleil.  It is just a couple of blocks from the Canada Place pier, and she calls it a "boutique" hotel, meaning it is smaller than others.  We are paying a bit over $200 per night, and she advises that most of the large downtown tourist hotels go over $400 per night during high tourist season.  I checked out their website, and I checked it out on TripAdvisor as well, and decided to go with her recommendation.  It looks good on their site, and is highly rated on TripAdvisor.  Also supposed to be within walking distance of lots of stuff - Stanley Park, shopping, etc.  And I am sure we will use the "hop on hop off" trolleys I've read about as well.  Good luck!
