Hello:

We are onboard for this cruise, we are taking it to get to Platinum status before a much longer cruise coming up next year, BKK to Whittier.

We are doing the same BKK to Whittier cruise on the Diamond as you.  This cruise will be my 13th Princess Cruise and my dear wife's 14th Princess Cruise.  We are taking the Diamond Princess cruise on May 7th, 2008 out of Long Beach so she'll be Elite for our Ruby Princess cruise on November 15th, 2008.  I'll be black carded right after the Ruby cruise so we'll both be black card for the BKK to Whittier cruise with you.

We looked at the excursions in Ensenada for this cruise and decided that there was nothing that we really needed.

I would really like to meet you.  Perhaps we can plan a Princess Only sailaway get together.  We are flying into San Diego a day early and staying at the Marriott just south of the San Diego terminal.

Glad to hear we are sharing cruises. We fly in the day before also but are staying at Holiday Inn right across from the Port. Hopefully will take one of the dinner cruises on the Hornblower SD cruises for that evening, then walk to the port the next day. We went ahead and booked the Princess tour to the "blow hole", since the reports on the area around the pier leaves a bit to be desired. It will be a nice little 4 day getaway for us.  Are you monitoring the thread on the other cruise forum for the BKK to Whittier cruise? Its rather long.

Are they doing a dinner cruise that night?   Huh  I did find this:

5/03/08 Fleet Week Sea ‘n Air Parade Brunch and Spectator Cruises
The annual Parade of Ships is a spectacle to behold and the best way to see it up close on onboard a Hornblower Cruise! You’ll see the Surface Force Pacific in their red, white and blue splendor, with fly-overs and even a performance from the Navy SEALS. Celebrate our military pride during the annual Fleet Week Festivities. Call 619-686-8715 for reservations and more information.

We were able to book the dinner cruise for May 3rd, maybe the Fleet week event is during the day.

I found the dinner cruise advertisement on the web.  It's too expensive for us.

We received our luggage tags and are ready to cruise.  Waiting to see if Princess will refund the fuel surcharge.   Huh

If they don't give us a fuel surcharge credit on our shipboard account I'll declare mutiny.  Not really.  But I will follow up with my cruise agent Valerie at http://kimskruises.net/

I love this board.  I can freely mention the name of my cruise agent and it's perfectly OK.

My husband and I are on this cruise too..it will be #14 for us with Princess.  Using it as a stepping stone to getto Elite.  We are not planning to get off in Ensenada..just going to enjoy the ship.
Happy Cruising,

Hi, I just joined Princess Chatter, I didn't know it was here.  My husband and I and our good friends from Portland are on this cruise.  Just needed a cruise fix.  Judy

Sail Away Party scheduled at Oasis Bar at 5PM sailing and a very generous person is bringing bubbles, but you will have to buy your own bubbly!!   There are quite a few persons listed on the CC board for this cruise..not too long now!!

I'll wear my Ruby Princess shirt.  Let's see if we can get the CC sail away group to check out Princess Chatter.   Grin

Hi Mike and All...It was fun meeting you on the Dawn Princess and blowing bubbles for our mini cruise down  to Ensenada..wish the weather had been warmer.
Hope your trip on the Diamond is not "lumpy and bumpy" to Vancouver.
Aloha,
