The Ace Cruise Convention will return to Dover next year and the association has confirmed TTG will again be its trade media partner in 2009.

The convention is in its third year having started out in Dover in 2007 before moving to Southampton this year.

Despite being a relatively new event in the travel industry conference calendar, it has quickly established itself.

Last year it attracted more than 700 agents to the three day convention, plus a bonus Premiere event on the previous Friday organised in conjunction with TTG and Princess Cruises.

"Agents will have the opportunity to visit four ships that have not been at the event before: Holland America Line’s Prinsendam, Fred Olsen’s Braemar, Crystal Cruises’ Crystal Symphony and Princess Cruises’ Tahitian Princess.

Kate O’Hara, head of commercial and marketing at Port of Dover, said: “We are delighted to be hosting the event for a second time in three years.

“Our unrivalled facilities plus quality and range of cruise line customers give us a valuable edge over our competitors.

"We are also grateful for some partnership support from Dover Town Council which enabled us to put forward an attractive package for delegates."
