Great photos; not parts of the ship you get to see everyday.

And if anyone sees a post from Princess about the suites on Deck 15 they keep showing as 'in progress' post it here.

I'm fully aware of the Window Suites (new category WS) on Deck 6.  But I didn't even know about the new 'balcony suites' on Deck 15 they're building where the arcade used to be.  I wonder.... "What category are they?"   And is there a deck plan that shows them?   I haven't been able to find one.  And my Princess rep hasn't replied to my question about it.

I can tell you though that I've looked in Princess' booking system for TAs, and there are no other new CATEGORIES besides WS listed, so whatever they will be it has to be a current category.

Cheers!

The new balcony cabins on 15 were a suprise to me as well. I've always wondered about that little used spaces around the arcades.

Hey, I figured it out.    Grin

I just went though the booking system looking for cabins that start with "S" (Deck 15 is the Sun Deck).

Looks like two Owner's Suites, S709 and S714 (591 sq ft each).

And I had also read in Cruise News Daily that there was going to be new oceanviews as well, so I looked for some of those.  I found two in Category CC S702 and S704 (171 sq ft each).

My guess is two big Owner's Suites on the two sides, and two big oceanviews facing over the back pool in the center.  The CC's do have even numbers though, so they could be on the port side rather than the center.  It'll be interesting to see!

I was looking at the lastest photos.  They are saying there are FIVE suites, and two oceanview cabins.  Can't wait to see a deck plan, since I obviously didn't find them all when searching around.

Doesn't seem like they're done with them either.

If I understood the photos correctly, there were some new oceanview suites on deck 6, starboard side also, in what used to be the casino.  That's a great idea for someone who wants a large cabin in a central location, and dosen't care about a balcony.

Rick,

Yeah, but we know ALL about the Window Suites.  They're on all the new deck plans and stuff.  I think it's an 'interesting' location.  Seems like right on such a public deck there would be noise, but we'll have to wait for future reports.

Meanwhile, I have a client on the 4-night Golden cruise right now.  I asked her to go peep around the new suites on Deck 15.  This is what she said:

"Passengers aren't allowed anywhere near the construction area but I did ride in the elevator with an officer and asked him. He told me that the suites won't be completed until June. Sorry I couldn't get more info. He got off the  elevator and I wasn't sure what they do to stalkers on the high seas . LOL

Definite signs of "cutting back" on this cruise. Did you read that review in CC where the lady said that all they had in the buffet for lunch was sandwiches? Well, it's true! At least on the first day and only slightly better on the second. The crew seem a bit embarrassed about it.... The crew has more than made up for the food deficientcies however--they have been wonderful. Overall, a great cruise!"

Oh please say this isn't true ~ The lunch buffet 'used' to be extraordinary!
(Haven't been spending as much time on CC as in the past, and certainly missed
that thread)

Back to the issue of the suites on Deck 15 - I asked my sales rep, and she said the Princess annual meeting for employee sales reps is next week (May 18-22), and she's see what she could find out and get back to me when she returns.

Cheers!
