On our last Ruby trip early December we were told that they no longer provide slippers. (although our cabin steward did scrounge up a couple of pair).
Has anyone else had a similar experience.
There were the one item I did look forward to since I hate having to bring along my own & refuse to walk barefoot on the carpets.

I never knew slippers were available until this very moment; I never thought to ask since I don't wear them; but I've never heard anybody mention them  Huh

we usually got them in the cabin.  Just took it for granted they came along with the robes.
One size does NOT fit all.   Roll Eyes Grin

The Princess Slippers are pretty small but were easy to get from the cabin steward this last Spring.

We're just off the Grand & they did have slippers but you did have to ask the cabin steward for them.

I always thought slippers were like the robes - sometimes they were in the cabin's closet upon arrival, and other times you had to ask the steward.

In past years slippers were always waiting for us when we arrived but on the Ruby the cabin steward told us they've cut back & not giving them out any longer. (but he did manage to get us two pair).
On the Grand they weren't in the room but my wife asked & received without any problem.
I suppose if you don't know about them or forget to ask it saves them money.

Oh shoot! Ive not long thrown my slippers from last year. Still gonna ask for them and the gowns - saves space in my case. Although I must say the flip flops they sell are soooooooooo comfy I use them at home as slippers sometimes. So I might just get that when I am next on board. Undecided

When we turned Elite, our Cabin Steward got us all kinds of suite goodies. Slippers, sewing kit, loufe pad, cotton balls/q-tip kit. Spoiled Judy to the point that she hounds the steward until he brings all of that stuff each time.

Slippers are way too small, but they make nice presents to relatives!

No lip "chap stick" is usually available on Caribbean cruises - Alaska only unless they have some left over in the stock room.

Kimmer, is that you?  How nice to see you here!  I'm serious:  bathrobes, yes, and we always ask for the heavy terrycloth ones; but I know nothing about slippers.

My wife checks the cabin the moment we get there & as soon as the cabin steward introduces himself she give him the list. (if the items are missing)
  • Slippers
  • Robe
  • Nail file
  • Chap stick
  • Shower cap
  • Hangers
  • Extra Hand cream
  • Shower Pad
  • Sewing Kit
  • loufe pad
