If you pass into the glory of Elite status on your sailing in, say July. ...  Please note that the cruises you already booked for the future beyond July will remain 'stuck' at whatever level you were when you booked them.  You'll have to have your travel agent, or Princess if you booked direct, "refresh" your booking to pick up your new status.

Just an FYI reminder since so many folks sail in the Summer and might have 'graduated' to a new level.

IF you forget to do this and get the wrong color boarding pass at check in, just take your card and go to the Capatain's Circle person onboard and they'll fix you up.

Cheers!

Good tip, Suzy;  that happened to me a few years ago when I "graduated."  But a quick call to Princess and it was "refreshed" in my Cruise Personalizer before I hung up the phone.

We once got put back to a blue card Shocked a few cruises ago because my number wasn't properly reported. The only inconvenience that it caused was in the terminal explaining that we were Elite so we could board among the first.
On another note- Princess is very good at updating past cruise records from any documentation you have of past trips. Any evidence of a voyage will get your record corrected- even word of mouth.

At the end of my 15th Princess cruise, Bernadette, the Captain's Circle lady on the Diamond, now on the Star, gave me nothing.  No letter, no pin, no nothing.  Not even a verbal thank you for my loyalty.  I do suspect if you got on a cruise with the wrong level the Captain Circle lady could fix that on the spot.  Then again if you got Bernadette chances are you would not receive your upgraded earned benefits.

It would be a nice touch if they had a recognition pin for reaching various levels like 21,31,41 etc. along with their loyalty CC. How much could it possible cost them? $2 per pin. Once you reach Elite there's not much incentive after that other than the possibility of being invited to the over 40 pax Captains reception party or lunch and that's iffy sometimes until you really get up there.

They have this 'super elite' now, but the Elite pin remains the same, no 'super elite pin' Right ?

No super Elite benefits that I know of except the loyalty CC- not a pin or anything else but if you qualify in the top 40 most traveled cruisers you'll be invited to the Captains special cocktail party or lunch. Surely you must have made twice or twice with 243 days a few times since it's not limited to only Elite people? It's really about time they do have an upper category even if they don't offer much else in perks since they're so many people who do have better than 400 days with Princess. Possible they could let them eat breakfast at Sabatinies with the suite people or give them a trip to the bridge like in the old days?  Cool

Rich, we made the Captains lunch once back in 2008, Sun Princess around Australia.  But on Crown last year there must have been many veteran Elites ! A no go.  Never made the 'special party, only the normal circle ones, who cares, I like the laundry and the tender tickets, not to mention the few drinks in the fridge!

We don't normally look for 7 day trips but I've found that the higher Elites seem not to book them. We were on a b2b 7 day Emerald & the cutoff for the lunch as I recall was around 149 days.
