Yes, its official. The dreaded footnote "*" in the latest CCQ.

"*Same-day laundry service is not complimentary."

Is the other laundry service (one or two day) still complimentary for Elite?

Normal laundry service for Elite pax is still complimentary.  You normally get it back the next day.
If Elite pax want same day service they pay 50% of the laundry charge.

I note dry cleaning services have gone entirely from some of the Princess ships, even on Crown last year which is one of the newest and biggest Princess ships, there was no dry cleaning service available on the ship. Not sure why, maybe unserviceable or taken out or never put in, not sure. Huh

Bummer.  On repositioning cruises I absolutely must have next day laundry . . . for free.   Wink

I'll almost bet that this move speeds up the process for everyone on the ship since the Elites were probably checking off "same day" service for everything whether they needed it or not.  Wink

I agree with RichC.......that is something I really have never done.  If one plans well, one day is just fine.

To tell the truth we gave up using the laundry altogether & only occasionally utilize the "cleaning service" for select articles. They've ruined to many of my shirts, underwear & socks in their dryers so I just wash out stuff in the sink. Sometimes free isn't all that great a deal.  Wink  Roll Eyes

I now have a pair of white socks permanently marked with a Princess blue ink stain.

Yes, the Princess laundry, funny how those XXL polo shirts end up M.   Would not be the Horizon Court that caused that would it?  Roll Eyes

Oh, I'm SO bummed!  I'm with Mike on needing it on a coastal.  I do normal speed laundry service most of the time, but on the truly short cruises there isn't a 'next day' available to have your clothes cleaned before packing to go home.  Cheesy
