We've been using Best Prince Cruises http://www.bestpricecruises.com/ for quite a while located in Port St. Lucie, FL. They seem to have some of the cheapest most competitive prices (most times with cabin credit when other TA's don't offer it)  around the internet BUT they're are a few sneaky thing they do that you have to watch out for---like when booking on their site (without using an agent) they'll add in insurance & if you don't notice it in the confirmation email you only have three days to cancel it. Over the years have instated a a cancellation charge (prior to final payment) which at one time used to be a freebie. That's understandable as it can cause a lot of unnecessary paperwork without any commission.  Other than that we've had good results with them BUT then again we've never had any serious problems that they had to get involved with.
Cruise Critic has a nasty article written about the agency badmouthing them on their main page but it seems to me that since they're in the business of selling cruises themselves they're got an axe to grind.

Has anyone else had good or bad experiences with them?

I used to book with Best Prince Cruises all the time.  When they instituted the cancellation charge, I stopped using them.  There are many other agencies that don't have cancellation charges.

I now use CruiseCompete.com to find the best offer.

Thanks, I'll check them out. I can understand them having a cancellation charge because of overhead & not getting anything in return for their efforts of booking BUT sneaking in the automatic insurance charge leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If I hadn't notice it I would have to keep their overpriced insurance. (which I can buy much cheaper at http://www.csatravelprotection.com/

I use them, but only for cruise price bargain shopping. Its one of my OCPD symptoms. Usually my TA will match their price or be $20-$50 over their price, total not per person or per day, and she's taken really good care of us over the past several years. So she's worth the extra money.

I have not booked with on-line only agencies, but because of fine print like the automatic cruise insurance stuff, or even worse, when they automatically use one of my FCCs for a "courtesy" hold, I like to talk to a live person and get the straight scoop.

BTW, I used cruise compete to find my current TA and haven't gone back to it since!
