This is a B2B but they are also selling it as one way, so saved a few dollars.

2 whole days in Egypt, we are so excited, always wanted to see the pyramids.

Anyone else going?

I talked with some friends today who had made a cruise stop in Egypt just a month ago.  They very strongly advised me to not book any cruise that goes to Egypt.

Thanks Mike for reinforcing what we have found out.  Our Bucket List will have Egypt on it for a long time.  Oh well, at least we'll be cruising for 27 days on Princess and that in itself is wonderful!!! Grin

We will be joining Star on 18th May in Rome for a 12 day cruise. This cruise has been changed back to the original route and will be overnighting in Alexandria. Not sure yet if we will go ashore here or not. It looks as though Alexandria itself will be ok, but we are a bit doubtful about Cairo. We will probably wait until we are onboard. We are very much looking forward to the cruise especially as we got a great deal.

Hi Fllady
Look forward to meeting you on board. I agree that Princess tours always give good value with peace of mind. We always use them for the first visit to a port. The port we really want to visit is Istanbul - been on our bucket list for ages!
As we live in Spain we are not all that far away from home. If we had thought of it sooner we could have asked Princess if we could have boarded at Alicante. Instead we get to enjoy 2 days in Rome!
Bring Star safe across the Atlantic for us!

Just got a few minutes to update our cruise.  Everything went well, no problems, except total exhaustion doing tours in 11 ports out of 13.  Day after we left Tenerife, Canary Islands, a shop keeper got mad at a 62 year old lady and cut her head off!! Shocked  Heard that the week before we were in Naples, a man got mugged near the port off of a Celebrity ship, he died.  Then 2 days out of Egypt, which was wonderful to finally see pyramids and Sphinx, they had another revolution and everything shut down.  Don't know how long it lasted but at least we were able to see it. Very disappointed to how dirty Egypt was, even the museum glass cases were filthy.  The cruise was too long for us this time, but we got to see our Bucket List completed.  (almost) Wink
