All:  I am just off the Sapphire from an otherwize wonderful Mexican Riviera cruise - submitted my FCC request on day 1 of the cruise.  I understand no more paper confirmations, but read we would get an email confirmation.  As of right now, havnt rec'd any communication whatsoever, my credit card still has not been charged, there are no FCCs in myprincess acct.  Over on Cruisecritic Im reading this is a big problem on the Sapphire (Brian the consultant in particular).  Ive emailed Princess,  made mention of this in my online feedback report and have phoned my complaint in to Princess as well.  Im hoping this can get resolved but frustrated at the total lack of service in this area.   Very dissapointing customer service on an otherwize relaxing and enjoyable cruise. On the Grand last January we had the choice of an email or paper confirmation. Possible the Sapphire does things differently but we received our email without problems and I also checked it before leaving the ship just to make sure.
It also sounds as though this Brian has some things to learn about the whole booking process.

Hi.. I was just on the same sailing as you.

If you had gone down to the future cruise sales desk later in the cruise you would have seen the sign posted there.  "Feb 22 - 28 xxx person has left the ship on a family emergency and all FCC forms turned in will be processed by headquarters shortly after the cruise".

I'm as frustrated as you are, as I wanted a specfic cruise booked as well as a PILE of FCCs.  However, I have faith they'll get to them soon.   I have a lot of symathy for family emergencies too, since I have a major impact to me death in my family recently.

Cheers!

Hi Suzy!   I was on the cruise Feb 12-19, and FINALLY the post-cruise representative contacted me and I now have my FCCs!  BTW she told me that Brian no longer worked for Princess.....wonder if he knew his future so he just didnt do the paperwork.....Hope things work out for you.  The person I talked to at Princess is named Krystie.

Calif... yeah, she said there was  problem on your sailing as well.

I suggested someone else on the ship be cross-trained to do this, and they said they are strongly going to look at that now as on the Sapphire nobody else at all could do that job.

I followed up today because I still didn't have mine and a person from Princess called me and got my FCCs done.  My form that had been dropped went totally AWOL.

Cheers,

Suzy

We will be on the Sapphire for 28 days starting Oct. 22, 2011, giving us plenty of time to make sure we have confirmation of our FCC's. For once in awhile cruisers it's also important because they're good for 4 years. Sure beats coming up with 20% at booking time.

We bought 4 more on the Star in April & they emailed confirmation the next day. They also appeared in out Princess account as a double check.
