We had done this cruise before in 2008. Goes to Eastern Caribbean. St Thomas, Bonaire, Grenada, Dominica, Princess Cay, should be nice and restful.  Just hopethat the hurricanes keep away while we are out there. Cheesy

Were scheduled for the Emerald in Now & since you should be back home by now, did they have any resemblance of the seafood buffet in the Horizon on sail-away?

I have a friend that just got off Emerald Princess.  She dosen't say anything about the Sailaway Buffet, but I found some of her other comments to be very interesting:

Quote
Just got home about an hour ago.....Had a fabulous time!!! Great ports of call & the weather was perfect. A couple of things..... No lunch is served in the dining room when in port.... Never saw my open face, wild mushroom & cheese omlet - BUT did have an aspargus & cheese omelet - delicious!!!
The International Cafe is open 24/7 - Horizon Buffet closes at 5:30 after the afternoon snack. The Cafe Caribe is open until mid-night, along with Trident Grill & Pizza. The Hotel Manager, Peter Hollinson came to our M&G at Adagio and told me it was not cost effective to have both the Horizon Buffet & Cafe Caribe open.

I didn't really expect the seafood buffet anyway but just though I'd ask.
The cutback on restaurant hours doesn't bother me one bit. It was a waste of manpower & money to keep the buffet open all night for the few people who actually ate there at 3 in the morning.

Sorry I am late with this, but I came home sick, with flu like symptoms. Anyway we were very disappointed to find no seafood buffet at Cafe Caribe.  We figured Princess is cutting back or raising prices so not really surprised.  But the food is a little better than we had last year.

Thanks but I didn't really expect it anyway. The only ship I heard of lately offering it was the Caribbean but I'm not flying to NY to catch a ship when I live in Florida.  Cheesy
