The couple of times that I've gone between those hours there wasn't much worth having anyway.  I do much better with room service for those late night/early morning munchies.

I can't imagine that they many people would be really upset with the decision. It's got to save them a bundle.

But what if I want a snack after leaving the disco at 2am, room service? Roll Eyes Shocked

Now to be serious, who wants to eat between 12 midnight and 5am, Princess ships are all asleep at that hour.  I thought the HC did not open for brekkie until 6am anyway.

Lets wait and see what Princess announce, perhaps they will have a smaller alternative venue available to serve food and beverage in the wee small hours .

On ships where they have an international cafe, they'll be open all the time, or so I've read. At least I can get a dessert if needed.  Tongue

I almost always get up between 4 and 6 am and I want my Horizon Court breakfast immediately.   Grin

Caribe Cafe has been serving a very early breakfast but on ships with only Horizon Court they never served any breakfast before 6 am except on disembarkation day. About the only thing you could find in Horizon Court before 6 am was cold pastries and hot coffee.  What disappoints me is the coffee bar on deck 5 doesn't open until 7 am.  Who ever heard of good coffee not being available until 7 am.

Speaking of coffee, my wife gave me major guff, even to the point of refusing to ever cruise with me again, when I told her I wanted to bring along our wonderful Keurig coffee maker to use in the cabin.

And speaking of breakfast, on one recent cruise they stole the ship's only working waffle maker from Horizon Court and gave it to Sabatini's for the Suite breakfast people.  How dare they steal our waffle maker?

April on the Star. I didn't even notice the limited selections after 11 PM but that is always typical. Not that many people stay up after 11- especially on Princess. From what I'm reading, they are totally shutting down the buffet at 11 PM lately which might not be all bad since thay can probably same big bucks & only disappoint a few people.

Thanks for the info on HC.  One can always pick up some cold meats, cheeses etc from HC during opening hours, convey same to your cabin bridge and devour at will. Shocked Even at 0300 Grin
