Final payment date rules

According to a Princess 800 number rep:
Final payment date rules

Non holiday Cruises 5 days or less: 60 days out
Non holiday Cruises 6 to 29 days: 75 days out
Holiday Cruises: 90 days out
30 or more day Cruises: 120 days out

Is this any different from what it has been all along?  The only catagory I've ever been in is non-holiday 6-29 days and it has always been 75 days out.

I'm now hearing that final payment dates have been changed for 2012 Europe or Alaska but I don't have the details.

In Australia, we have to pay final payment 3 months before cruise.  But whats new? We do not get the deals, fare reductions etc that North Americans get.  The price advertised is what we pay.  Some would say we have already paid our gratuities in the inflated fare.

I think the upgrade fairy does not like us either.
