Someone on another cruise board  Wink recently pointed out the on the Emerald Princess it was possible to order anything from any restaurant to be delivered to the cabin. If so, this is a big change from the past. It may have something to do with the buffet closing at 11 PM or the dining room being closed on port days.
btw- We've never eaten in our cabin, ever. Something about eating in the room that doesn't seem normal. I guess if we had a suite we might think differently.

Princess tells me that it is not possible unless you are sick or possibly have a Suite.  Regular non-Suite travelers like most of us are only offered the limited room service menu.

Princess tells me that it is not possible unless you are sick or possibly have a Suite.  Regular non-Suite travelers like most of us are only offered the limited room service menu.

From the way it was posted they made it sound like it was meant for everyone, not just suites.

"you can call room service and order anything you want and not just from the room service menu, any food venue menu, Da Vinci, Michaelangelo’s and Botticellli’s. That’s right, done it. Now depending on when the restaurant you choose opens, your order could take up to 45 minutes to arrive but it is available. We wanted to try and see what room service would say and sure enough when we called and asked for the famous pasta dish served at Da Vinci and Michaelangelo’s I was told, “no problem 45 minutes” and sure enough, 30 minutes later there it was delivered right to the room; no charge."

Whether this is just on the Emerald is yet to be seen. It could also possibly be for a trial only & not available next cruise depending on how many people would be utilizing the service.
