Being Elite, I'm used to sending my laundry out daily on a cruise.

I'm aware that we can't get same day anymore, but I only used that when I needed it before anyway (like on the last full cruise day).

I was SHOCKED  Shocked though when I was on Ruby last week and was told when I went to send out the formal wear that they don't do dry cleaning anymore because it was bad for the environment.  Sounded like another cut back at the time.

My husband and I were shocked and amazed.  How do they expect folks to dress up with really nice clothes on a long cruise if they don't offer dry cleaning?

I mentioned this to some fellow diners though, and they said RUBY didn't have dry cleaning when they sailed on her some YEARS before.  And, yet, I'd gotten dry cleaning on Sapphire just this February.

SO, what's the answer?   Who has sailed lately, and how lately, and successfully sent out dry cleaning?   OR are you simply aware of some of the ships not offering it but others do?

Very odd!  If Ruby did NOT offer it, and Crown did, for example, it would be something to consider for my own personal future cruises I tell ya!

Cheers!

There is no dry cleaning offered on the Sapphire Princess according to the Passenger Services desk.

It's not the same old dry cleaning of years ago but a different process which is still very similar & they just call it "cleaning" where the regular wash in water is called "laundry"
I think I would have selected another term for the cleaning method other than "cleaning" as it leads to some confusion.
When I first asked about the method a while back when they first introduced it they told me a name for the process but it slipped my memory. Something like Accu Clean.
They probably mention it during the ship tours but we never attend any of them.
