"The email slammed the cruise industry as a whole, noting that ships are plagued by “onboard thefts, disease and infection, sexual assaults, deaths, food poisoning, bed bugs, fires and a litany of other problems that seem to befall cruise ships much more than U.S. located, land-based vacation resorts.” Apparently nothing like that happens on land.
The organization backs up its claims by linking to such websites as Ripoff Report, where consumers complain about cruise ships; the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s report on health-related outbreaks on cruise ships; and a website that details sexual assaults that have occurred on cruise ships over the years, among others."
