Huh We are wondering if Princess may cancel stops in Egypt. The situation there is very unstable, and there are Americans there being held against their will. We would hate to be on a tour and find ourselves as guests permanently. Remember that coming from Israel and having our passports stamped there may cause problems in the future, as it has in the past. Huh

P&O Arcadia has just gone through there with no problems and they had tours.

Never let the terrorists win.

Some friends made an Egypt cruise stop last year.  They said they would NEVER go back to Egypt again and told us that we shouldn't either.  They said Cairo was filthy dirty and the pyramid excursion people were bandits.  Your mileage may vary.

That's pretty much the reaction I've gotten from most people who've been there.

Just heard on the news CNN, that a couple of American people were taken off a tour bus and being held captive.  Don't go this will probably take Egypt off again  We were there in May and had no problems

It's extremely difficult to be non compliant with the barrel of a gun in your face.
As a tourist the odds of winning, without being armed yourself, are not good.
Leaving the ship in a body bag is not a pleasant option.
