I'm unaware of Princess Cruises (U.S.) selling ice cream cards. Ice cream is usually free around 3 pm on one side of the Horizon Court and free in the dining rooms and maybe in the International Cafe on the Crown/Emerald and hopefully Ruby. Otherwise ice cream is an extra charge. Hmmm. I wonder if Princess would allow us to bring an ice cream freezer on board? Oh, never mind. That's what money's for.

I heard from someone on the other board that Ice Cream cards were available on the Caribbean Princess. However they were 17.50 for 10 double scoops or soft serve with two toppings included. Since two double scoops and soft serve not including toppings are only 1.50 each, that leaves a lot left over for toppings that are only .25 cents each. It just doesn't add up to me, but maybe I'm missing something.

Love2cruise when you think of it that way , is it really worth it, can you tell me whats the difference between the double scoops with toppings and an icecream sundae, in the UK an icecream sundae is like a knickerbocker glory linda

I think double scoops with toppings are sundaes, but I think you can get sprinkles on cones too. Now I need to ask what is a knickerbocker glory! I think I'll just buy a couple of sundaes instead of the card. Since we can get really good homemade ice cream in the dining room (if they are serving Hazelnut you have to try it) with lunch or dinner(tea). Also every afternoon from around 3:30 or so in the buffet. That will be enough ice cream for me! Pat

Pat Hi Pat a knickerbocker glory is a huge cocktails style glass with 3 different icecreams strawberries and sauce in layers with other fruits and icecreams in each layer, its about 8 inch`s high and i love them, but in saying that i dont like icecream on its own, i love caramel sauce or toffee sauce on it, but remember i`m asking for my daughter (13) , but i wouldnt let anyone bend my arm to have a few sundaes linda

They do serve free ice-cream for an hour a day in Horizon Court. Usually a couple of flavours with toppings. We tried the ice-cream you have to buy and I thought it was awful - no way I would pay for it again. You can always get ice-cream free in the dining room, of course, during lunch and dinner service (if I remember correctly). I always have extra ice cream with my desserts. I absolutely love Cornish ice cream - yum yum
