We were on the Royal at term 2 when the CB was coming into Ft Lauderdale at around 9 AM. I couldn't believe a ship arriving that late.  :o
There must have been a scramble to get everyone to the airport in time. What was up with that?

Yes the Royal is quite the same with their volume of music. Especially in the Piazza where the band is at full volume almost every night. It becomes almost impossible to order a coffee or gelato without screaming at the top of your lungs to be heard.
Still the passengers seem to love it & can't get enough of it since it was always packed.

We were last on the Caribbean Princess with our granddaughter in August 2004 & of course it was in quite good condition.  Had a wonderful first time cruise for our granddaughter...  ;)...

We were on it in Feb & I wouldn't rush back. Nothing major wrong but many things could have been better.

CP was late because 2 1/2 hours north of Grand Cayman the ship reversed course to return to Grand Cayman with a sick passenger. Then the ship reversed course again to sail to Ft Lauderdale at reduced speed due to a malfunctioning electric propulsion motor. Because of the very late arrival in Ft Lauderdale ALL EZ bag off bookings were cancelled for flights before noon.  It was a total zoo on the ship for those wanting early offs with all their bags.  No one was allowed off of the ship until all tagged bags were off.

Bad day for everyone. We drive so it wouldn't have been all bad but I would have hated to have an early flight.  :(

That's why I never, ever schedule an early flight out of FLL.

We were on the Royal that morning & I couldn't believe a cruise ship returning that late in the day to port.
Originally I thought it was because they were having engine problems.

Known engine problem was part of the story.
