Well, that makes a lot of sense to me.  I've only done one B2B and it was really a combination of two itineraries--a Panama Canal, Ft. Lauderdale to Acapulco and a Mexican Riviera, Acapulco to L.A., eighteen days total on Sea Princess in 2000.

It looks like it alternates between Eastern and Western itineraries so I guess you'll just have to do a back-to-back.

Won't Regal Princess still be there in Winter season?

Well, I hear Royal Princess is coming to the West Coast, so maybe you're right.  At least I won't have to fly to get to it  Cheesy

Nice clean look.  Smiley

Yes, it is.  They should do this to Sun Princess and Sea Princess and bring them back to the U.S.  I don't like Royal class and I'm getting a little tired of Grand class.
6  Princess Cruising / Princess News Chatter / Re: Fire in the engine room on the Island Princess on: May 20, 2017, 12:06:16 PM
"This morning about 7:30 there was an emergency announcement for a fire in the deck 4 engine room. We were having breakfast in the Horizons buffet area. About 5 minutes later, the general emergency alarm was sounded and all crew were called to their emergency stations. They remained for about 30 minutes before being released. We were advised that the fire was struck pretty quickly and that we were in no danger."

Once again we are reminded why attending and paying attention at muster drills, is not only required, but wise.
Reading about a 'non' event is testament to this. Fires on a cruise ship have a unique set of additional dangers.

I get so annoyed in safety drills when I see people fiddling with their phones instead of paying attention--knowing that in an emergency they would be the ones to cause problems because they didn't know what to do.

The text says Carnival but the video says Royal Caribbean (??).  And how can he still be missing if they know exactly where and when he went over (??).

I wonder if sending B-52 nuclear bombers there had anything to do with it? Roll Eyes

Naw! Roll Eyes

MAY 8, 2016?Huh Huh

Yeah, old news; but I think they just finished the investigation.
10  Princess Cruising / Princess News Chatter / Re: Princess to watch your every move with a cruise card medallion on: March 05, 2017, 05:17:28 PM
How annoying; I've never heard of that happening--at least not so many times.
11  Princess Cruising / Princess News Chatter / Re: Princess sued for injury caused by failure to warn about lounge spilled drinks on: February 22, 2017, 01:47:50 AM
Good luck with this.  He would have to prove that Princess knew about the spill AND neglected to clean it up or put out appropriate signage in a timely manner.  He would have to provide an eye-witness to the fact that a Princess employee became aware of the spill and did nothing.
12  Princess Cruising / Princess News Chatter / Re: Women fished out of the ocean after falling from the Sun Princess on: February 18, 2017, 11:24:20 PM
I wonder if they do a blood test on thsese people who "fall" overboard to see how much they've had to drink.  Wink

They should but probably can't without permission, which nobody is going to give if they are thinking of blaming (read suing) the ship.

I'm certain they push to have them installed on all the ships as fast as possible when they discover the big increase in sales.
One thing I am certain of: It won't change my spending habits by one dollar. They probably know that already.

I'll second that.
14  Princess Cruising / Princess News Chatter / Re: Sun Princess docks in Brisbane due to norovirus outbreak on: February 16, 2017, 05:50:26 PM
It hasn't hit us yet in all the years of traveling.
Guess we're just fortunate.

. . . . and careful.  Same here.  Been cruising since 1974 and never been sick with noro.
15  Princess Cruising / Cruising Tips Chatter / Re: 14 Reasons You Should Never Take a Cruise on: February 13, 2017, 03:42:33 PM

I totally agree with all of what has already been said here by the previous persons two persons.  All 14 reasons listed are very much more good reasons to be aware of ahead of a cruise but certainly not any reasons to stay away from cruising... no way.  We have been on many a cruise as Elite passengers but certainly NOT afraid of them to not cruise at all.  If there are many people who are afraid of cruising for any or many of the printed reasons... then by all means don't go as you could ruin a perfectly enjoyable cruise for other people?  Stay home, be a "cruise pooper" you will miss so much of life all around our wonderful world...  More cabins available for all the rest of us cruisers to enjoy.   Grin...

I love your point about just staying home if you think you are a person who would fret about any of these things; stay home so you don't ruin somebody else's cruise.
