  • Called 1-800-Princess to check on an existing online booking.  Got a Princess rep. who could only just barely speak English!  All he seemed interested in doing was trying to sell the premier package.
  • Received a Princess colorful email ad from "Princess Cruises <info@em.princess.com>" offering Hawaii excursions at a quickly expiring discount.  There are no Hawaii excursions yet to be offered on our Personalizer excursion list.
  • Entered flight information on the Personalizer for our confirmed SWA flights.  The Personalizer falsely claimed that one of my confirmed SWA flight numbers doesn't exist

The next total solar eclipse is in Europe on August 12, 2026, which will be mainly visible in Spain, a small area of Portugal, Russia, Greenland and Iceland.

Princess is creating a special itinerary for Sky Princess that will position the ship near Spain on the day of the eclipse. The sailing will go live for bookings at princess.com on May 23.

"Princess Cruises has reached out to guests on multiple upcoming sailings for the new Sun Princess to alert them to an itinerary change.

Rather than visiting Santorini as scheduled, the ship will be visiting an alternative port of call. While this switch may be disappointing to some travelers, it can actually lead to a better overall experience for a more fulfilling visit."

"For some sailings, the email goes on to explain that the ship will instead visit Chania, Greece as an alternative, though the port times have been adjusted slightly. The reason given for these changes is “cruise ship congestion,” which would indicate a very crowded and less enjoyable experience for visitors."

Great during the day, the smaller size means that not all passengers will get to see all of the three shows, as there just won't be enough space and the shows won't be shown enough for everyone to see them.
