Besides all of the ways to keep gastro illness at bay we believe having a balcony is another way to keep gastro germs at bay.  We always enter our cabin, wash our hands, open the balcony door.  Depending on the time of day or night we allowed the sunshine & fresh air in the cabin.  We even had the balcony door open part way during the night.  Hearing the waves slap at the ship was very soothing.  Whenever we were in our cabin, the balcony door was open all the way or part way.  We believed that was a fact for keeping us away from the gastro virus...  Just a helpful suggestion to cabin cruisers.   Grin

Back in 1998 I do remember we were on the Grand Princess out of Barcelona.  After arriving at the airport we were bused to the ship.  I do remember as we got close to the harbor we drove up over a hill & there was the docked ship in the harbor.  How beautiful she was there & also to cruise on her.  We had a beautiful balcony cabin & the cruise was wonderful.  I do remember cruising past the Rock of Gibraltar... a few cruises latter we did tour the Rock...  the Grand was new, fantastic & majestic...   Wink

11  Princess Cruising / Cruising Tips Chatter / Re: 14 Reasons You Should Never Take a Cruise on: February 13, 2017, 01:47:19 PM

I totally agree with all of what has already been said here by the previous persons two persons.  All 14 reasons listed are very much more good reasons to be aware of ahead of a cruise but certainly not any reasons to stay away from cruising... no way.  We have been on many a cruise as Elite passengers but certainly NOT afraid of them to not cruise at all.  If there are many people who are afraid of cruising for any or many of the printed reasons... then by all means don't go as you could ruin a perfectly enjoyable cruise for other people?  Stay home, be a "cruise pooper" you will miss so much of life all around our wonderful world...  More cabins available for all the rest of us cruisers to enjoy.   Grin...

13  Princess Cruising / Princess News Chatter / Re: New Princess Milestone Awards Revealed - Must credit PrincessOnly.Com on: October 12, 2016, 07:48:03 PM

So one credit is "one cruise?"...  Then we are good for only 55 credits??
14  Princess Cruising / Princess News Chatter / Re: New Princess Milestone Awards Revealed - Must credit PrincessOnly.Com on: October 12, 2016, 05:13:13 PM

What is a 'CRUISE CREDIT" What is it equal too?  What does it take to get one credit?
15  Princess Cruising / Princess News Chatter / Re: More Princess Changes or No Changes on: October 11, 2016, 08:51:28 AM

Years ago we had to have 15 CRUISES to attain Elite.  Days were not the way they counted then...   Huh  Angry
