They're leaving Ft Lauderdale for Europe on April 16.
32  Princess Cruising / Princess News & Princess Chatter / Re: Princess $49 advance board and disembark fee was tested on the Ruby Princess on: April 13, 2018, 06:59:51 AM
I can't believe anyone would be so foolish to pay an additional $49 to board an hour earlier at most.  Cheesy
What about "Additionally, those who purchase the option can choose an early or late disembarkation time."
Does that meany they can stay on the ship after the new passengers are boarding? Possibly until the ship is ready to sail?
If it's the case it might actually might sell.

Just a cover charge for what Suite/Elite/Platinum cruisers get as a Captains Circle perk, priority embarkation and you can choose your disembarkation time, within reason.  I doubt the proposal includes staying on board until just before sailing, just a late disembarkation, e.g. 10am.

What next we ask, a charge for MUTS and the popcorn? Roll Eyes
I can honestly see them selling first run movies on the TV with the new on demand system.
Why not? Almost everyone else is practically doing it for home viewing lately. They're well in advance of the movie release schedule on DVD.
Maybe even selling tickets for first run movies only shown in the show lounge on nights after the regular shows are over?

Am on Royal 18 June, I hope the musical is on then.

I note it is on Island and Diamond, later on.
I know they were only scheduled for a certain amount of showings. I'm not positive when the troupe was schedules to leave the ship... possibly before the crossing to Europe?

They even had a special showing on embarkation day at 12:30 for travel agents and anyone that knew about it by email.
The theater wasn't even filled.
36  Princess Cruising / Cruising Tips Chatter / Re: Everything you need to know about the Princess overpriced drink packages on: April 05, 2018, 08:08:36 AM
The only thing they don't tell you is that the days you're off the ship you'll have a lot of catching up to do when your return. Cheesy 15 drinks to consume from the time you get back till you fall down drunk late at night.
Only to start again the next day.  Roll Eyes
37  Princess Cruising / Princess News & Princess Chatter / Re: 500 days on Princess is it a big deal. on: March 19, 2018, 04:03:53 AM
G'day, I read somewhere that Princess is recognising a pax achieving 500 sailing days on Princess by presentation of an expensive bottle of champers at the Capts.Circle Cocktail party or at the Most Travelled Passenger luncheon, that is if the respondent is invited.

Not the $3 Korbel bubbly garbage we normally get for winning trivia or the belly flop competition. Grin

Any truth in the above?
I hate to break the news to you but they no longer give even the cheap Korbel champagne for winning at trivia due to the cutbacks.
It's now a coaster or wine stopper.  Roll Eyes

You have made my day, no more 2 buck Korbel trivia, I suppose the water bottles and luggage tag holders are cost prohibitive too. Roll Eyes  No doubt the wonderful Korbel is still served at the Captains Circle parties and in the mini suites/suites.

And yet they still fight over the cheap gifts at trivia like they were something to cherish.  Cheesy

They know that the average Princess cruiser wouldn't stoop to smuggling.
Would they?  Wink Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

The Princess Alcohol Police know all the tricks, they even read the idiotic posts on CC re 'how we smuggled our booze on.'  Roll Eyes

I for one only talk about the well know methods for all the newbies but never revile my personal ones.
I've still got a few that I haven't had to use yet.
Got to keep them guessing.
39  Princess Cruising / Princess News & Princess Chatter / Coffee Card Expiration Date Ripoff on: March 17, 2018, 03:31:11 PM
Isn't anyone on this board upset about the expiration date now appearing on all new coffee cards being issued?
All cards whether from the Elite setup exchange or purchased will now expire at the end of this year- 12/31/2018.
They just confiscate your unused punches & your card is no longer good for anything- brewed or specialty coffees.
RIPOFF

I quickly read you post & couldn't see why CC might have pulled it. Strange indeed.
Having comments censored by CC is nothing new, especially for myself. They hate for anyone to post truthful comments that actually happen & shed a bad light on Princess.
It happens regularly as soon as something is of negative opinion. I do believe the comments on their bulletin board are controlled by Princess directly and if they do leave it posted you be chastised by dozens of their cheerleaders.

Never the less I'm reading that most of your disappointment came from cancelled or tours that had delay problems.
This could have easily happened on any cruise line although Princess could have been more sympathetic.

I've got to really enjoy some of the newest features that the Royal class offers.
Hopefully they'll incorporate some redesigns to the bad points on future layouts.
44  Princess Cruising / Princess News & Princess Chatter / Re: Princess advises to avoid the ferry from Cozumel to Playa del Carmen on: March 11, 2018, 12:34:18 PM
I'm surprised they have yet to determine who was behind the bombing.
45  Princess Cruising / Princess News & Princess Chatter / Re: Princess attempting to increase Internet speed on the Regal Princess on: March 11, 2018, 12:31:59 PM
Last Nov/Dec the manager on the Royal was confident that the speed was going to be increased on Jan 1, 2018.
I just got off the Royal and not a thing has changed.
