Princess has canceled the Star Princess sailings 3/9/11 and onward. These include a South America around he horn sailing, a sailing from Valparaiso to San Francisco, some Meixcan Riviera sailings from San Francisco and a coastal cruise. Obviously, Star is going to Europe again. Europe is always the first destination announced by Princess so we'll see the new stuff soon!

No specific date for the 2011 Europe has been announced, but I'll let you know as soon as I see it!

We were booked on the STAR for the April 8th SF-Mexico (one of 3) voyages - so needless to say we were quite disappointed to get this news today in an email (with no explanation).   Although no one we talked to could say if the ship will be replaced with another one to do the same voyages out of San Francisco.
Guess we will just have to keep checking things out as time goes by....grrrrrr! Cry

Thanks Suzy, you certainly give us top intelligence ! Yes we were just notified about the Star Princess redeployment and cancellation of our Star Princess South American Cruise in March 2011.  Now I have to get our $3200 deposit back ! Huh A little sad as we had a great roll going elsewhere. Wink  Just altered my signature - Star Princess, Gooone. Cry

Still going ahead with the Eurodam T/A on 12 April.  Grin

Does this mean the Star Princess is leaving the fleet?  If not, then what?

I don't think Star is going to Europe, but is to operate from Lauderdale doing Caribbean cruises, that is why our South American cruise was rescheduled, note I am doing the new one 23 Feb, Santiago to FLL.  I could be wrong though, accept my apologies if I am.

Crown Princess is doing a Transatlantic though.

Where in the world is the Star Princess sailing in 2011?  Open this Excel link and you'll find out.

Anyone know when the general public (like myself) will get to see Alaska itineraries on the Princess site? Huh

The 2011 Princess Alaska schedules are fixed, just not published.  Possibly that's just to get Europe 2011 early bookings out of the way.
