"Alex White admitted that the Clia UK and Ireland passenger figures which revealed a 4.8% drop in 2014 were disappointing, but he said: “2015 is looking strong, especially with the launch of [P&O Cruises’] Britannia and [Royal Caribbean’s] Anthem.

“I think the UK will return to growth. So far we’ve been off to a strong start – it’s good to see momentum starting to grow.”

White was speaking to TTG ahead of the launch of a new trade incentive, offering agents the chance to win tickets to a number of gigs.

These include Elton John in Cardiff, Pharell Williams in Leeds, Take That in London and Birmingham and John Legend in Glasgow. All the shows take place in June.

Any agent who makes a Princess Cruise booking between March 30 and April 30 should register at surveymonkey.com/s/comebackentertained."
