"The Coral Princess cruise ship, which is due to arrive at Port Everglades on Saturday, has 12 positive cases of the coronavirus on board, Princess Cruises said Thursday. All passengers had already been asked to stay in their rooms Tuesday after a “higher-than-normal number” of people reported flu-like symptoms. The ship is carrying 1,020 guests and 878 crew members. Seven guests and five crew members have tested positive for the coronavirus."

Party after party - now 12 are positive with Coronavirus
« Reply #2 on: April 02, 2020, 07:44:15 PM »
On Thursday, April 2, the Princess cruise line said in a statement that 12 positive cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed among the ship’s 1,020 passengers and 878 crew members. The 12 positive results – seven guests, five crew – came from 13 tests submitted Monday in Barbados, the statement said.

There are reports on social media from family members of passengers that the medical staff aboard the Coral Princess has been overwhelmed and ran out of supplies in the last week.

And still, the ship hosted party after party. The ship’s casino, library, theater and buffet were open through the month of March. Joani wrote about finishing second in a corn hole tournament on March 28.
