So, that was purely to defend yourself against financial damage. (My wife picked up what she thought was a nice little purse, with the low low price of $14.95. Turns out it was... $1495.00. Needless to say it remained property of Princess Cruises).

I have seen some overly spacious shops on the ships. Retail space is fine if.iits utilized well.

Excellent Rich.

No difference when calculating all costs is a normal practice. I even note the 5ers and 10ers I carry for baggage tips and whatnot. More about knowing what the boxes are, and making sure they're checked.

We have a b2b2b booked for the fall, in an Oceanview cabin. From what I've seen of the amenities for this cabin, it's quite pleasant.
I will be exploring like a kid on the new ship... looking forward to this cruise immensely.

Sapphire Princess Chatter / Re: Propulsion issues

This must be a large disappointment for passengers on this voyage. Perhaps this will impact many future cruises on the Sapphire. These things do happen, and hopefully repairs are effected quickly.

Not surprising given the impact on marine life.

Is that an odd photograph, or does anyone else see a particularly noticeable bend in the exterior balcony floors? Looks to be through all floors from deck 7 upward, about where the 600 series of cabins changes to the 700's, and does appear to include Horizon Court. It 'must' be the photograph.  :-\

Sapphire Princess Chatter / Propulsion issues

Rumors of a switchgear issue on the starboard propulsion motor, per users on Reddit. Has anyone else heard of these problems? I hate rumors, but rumors are often news that hasn't been picked up by media.

That's also an excellent photo of the Diamond.

Does Princess believe that enough new customers exist that endearing past passengers is no longer important?
Expanding offerings to attract new cruisers is a sound approach. Perhaps they're crunching numbers, and have determined the potential trend of repeat cruisers aging out of the future market. Oh to be a fly on the wall.

Thank you for this Mike. I never plan without this spreadsheet.

Ruby Princess Chatter / Re: In every diasaster there is opportunity

At a Thai restaurant last week, we met someone who bartended on the Ruby (long story omitted...).
We spoke briefly about cruising on Princess.
They named Commodore Nash...   Nick Crash.
The crew can be brutal. ;D

Not since our first cruise, when we believed all of the courses were a personal challenge. Most people we see are monitoring what they eat, and how much.
