"The lovely Discovery Princess, the second newest cruise ship among Princess Cruises’ fleet, is one of the most elegant I’ve voyaged on — and I’ve been on 10+ cruises (read: best cruises I reviewed). So, you can say I’ve become quite the cruise critic over the years."

"Of Majestic Princess, Royal Princess, Grand Princess and Coral Princess, only Royal will be returning to Australia next season. However, Diamond Princess and Crown Princess will be joining the party.

Then another shake up will happen in 2025/2026, when Royal and Diamond make way, but Grand Princess returns, and Discovery Princess excitingly arrives for the first time in Australia.

While both the following years will represent a decrease in Australian capacity for Princess, from October 2024, Crown Princess will be sailing year-round in Australia. Furthermore, Discovery Princess will represent the biggest Princess ship to home port in Australia, marking the cruise lines intention to promote cruising in the region."

At a Thai restaurant last week, we met someone who bartended on the Ruby (long story omitted...).
We spoke briefly about cruising on Princess.
They named Commodore Nash...   Nick Crash.
The crew can be brutal. ;D

"PRINCESS Cruises has announced an epic line-up of celeb speakers for 2024 from soap star Nina Wadia to former Beatles drummer Pete Best, gracing Princess’ auditoriums-at-sea.

The VIPs, who will be sharing their skills, can be seen on board three ships in the cruise line’s fleet: Sky Princess, Regal Princess and Caribbean Princess.

Cruisers wanting to brush up on their culinary skills can take tips from Rustie Lee on a 14-night Mediterranean itinerary, while footie fans will get their kicks on a 14-night Iceland & Norway voyage with former England ace Peter Beardsley.

Fares start at £899pp for a 12-night Canary Islands cruise on Sky Princess with Only Fools And Horses actress Sue Holderness, departing from Southampton on November 16 and calling at Santa Cruz De Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Lisbon. See princess.com."
