"Yesterday, a small group of residents gathered with signs near the roundabout - to make their cause heard and to 'keep up the pressure'."

"It was timed to coincide with the arrival of The Caribbean Princess cruise ship. Buses arrived all morning dropping passengers from the 3,600-passenger liner off into Weymouth.

A police officer and a port police officer were present at the protest, which saw around a dozen people take part. Several tourists briefly stopped to chat to them.

Resident Marc Moore said: "The road is not big enough for the traffic that is coming here. It rattles our house. It literally rattles the glasses sitting on the shelf."

That's another joke, 'bid for upgrade' . Why not call it what it actually is, an upsell.

These packages, just like the 'bid for upgrade' program for cabins are NOT designed to serve passengers. Rather they skew the profitability index of each sailing passenger in terms of revenue pp. I wonder who in the echelons of Princess figured out the 15 drink per day, and internet packages.

What a load of BS.
She must be paid off by Carnival to give such a write-up.
2 drinks a day.  ;D ::)
Since when has "Crew appreciation" become mandatory? I've never heard someone post that before. Maybe it's Princess's new slant on gratuities.
Keep saying it long and loud enough and it becomes fact.
Where have I heard that before?  ::)

"I hate the wallet-wrenching surprise of that final invoice, filled with a few more drinks than I remember ordering, the WiFi I couldn't live without, and the specialty dining restaurants I splurged on.

But all that changed the moment I discovered the Premier Cruises' Premier Princess package on Princess Cruises during a family vacation on the Regal Princess in December."

Cruising Tips Chatter / New W-2g trigger limit for gamblers/casinos?

Is a revised trigger limit for declaring winnings to the IRS using a W-2g form about to change? The $1200 trigger has been in place since 1977.

It's hard to believe the ship is already 10 years old.  ;)

Great job, once again. There are to few people who appreciate it.
I tried to post a link on Cruise Critic to tell others about it but they squashed the post before it even appeared.  :'(

Saying thank-you seems so inadequate, but this effort must be praised and acknowledged..  so thank you Mike.
I shall scroll, copy and mark the h*ll out of it with abandon.
