While I would love to experience this I doubt if the price will be anywhere near reasonable for my budget.  ::)

We just ran into a couple who were upsold a cabin on the Enchanted Princess to deck 15, right under the pool deck. They couldn't believe how noisy it was starting at around 6 AM & even during the day with the shuffling of deck chairs.
What really annoyed them was that they had paid for the experience giving up their original cabin location on deck 8 midship.

But yet they still allow people to stink up the casino with smoke. ::)

It is different.

They're so excited to introduce all the options, it makes it seem as everything is included. One can only wonder that you final tab would be if you only participated in a small portion of them.

It seems as though all the new ships have given up on appearance and interested in providing extra interior living space. (at a charge of course)

I wonder if they've addressed the smoke problem in the casino on this new class ship?

I wonder how many activities of this newer ship will be free for everyone?
They're beginning to charge for just about everything lately including premium seating for special events.

Looks very similar to an RCL ship design.

Looks like their finally beginning to realize that they have to attract the younger generation or be left behind.

Could it be that they increased the depth of their balconies to have more leg room or is that photo from another cruise line? On Princess you're lucky to have even a small plastic table for a drink.  ;D

After spending 20 days on the Enchanted I'd say the food prep & quality is overall pretty good. Sure there were some items (mostly at the buffet that could have been better) but in general the prep for their food was great.
We did have some items at the buffet that were a little overcooked (leg of lamb, some pork) but nothing so bad that I would have thrown it out.

I was a little disappointed that they didn't serve eggnog at Christmas time. I heard they did have it but it disappeared so quickly I never got a taste.

The DR food was mostly very good despite the cost increase in food this past year. My wife had salmon once or twice that was overdone but still not bad.

We stayed clear of the Specialty restaurants and Gigi's which has now become a charge restaurant. It was still crowded.

At the buffet the last sea day they had special cakes prepared in the buffet line similar to the other Royal class ships but the big problem arose when there was a shortage of servers cutting the cakes. There were only 3 servers for maybe 10 cakes with 40 or 50 people standing in line waiting while the server when from cake to cake for each person cutting a small piece. The line extended from the rear buffet to almost the rear door near the elevators. Needless to say it took 30 minutes to go through the line trying to dodge people trying to take photos.
Many people just walked away.

Virus's come and go on all cruise ships. If we were to pay attention to all the reports that are published weekly, we'd probably never set foot on another cruise ship. ::)

Yet there are some features of the newer ship that don't appeal to some folks.....like the promenade deck. It's not something that attracts me, yet there are some who can't like without it.

When I said layout I meant layout of the buffet area. It's so much nicer on the Royal class ships where you have room to maneuver around. Plus they have the capability to prepare multiple main courses + numerous side dishes. A little something for everyone. Wear as on the Ruby there's usually only one main item as a center attraction. Also on the Ruby they'll be minimal desserts offered at the buffet, which I usually skipped.
